Professional carrier:
• Since 8 November 2007 she has been re-appointed for a new mandate of five years. • Since November 2002, after a Decision of the Council of Ministers for the determination of the structure of the State Commission on Information Security and by the order of the Prime Minister she was appointed as a Chairperson of the Commission. • Tsveta Markova represented the Republic of Bulgaria at the Consultative Council of Judges with the Council of Europe in 2001 – 2002. • In 2001 she became a co-trainer in the seminar on insolvency organized by the Centre for Training of Magistrates. • Between 2000 and 2002, Tsveta Markova was a co-trainer in a project of the American Agency for International Development for the development of the court system called “Training for trainers”. • In 2000 she participated in the projects ‘Women’s human rights- Step by Step’ of the Open Society Foundation an ‘Legal Strategies for the combating against domestic violence’ of the Bulgarian Gender Studies and the SOS- Families in Disgrace Association. • In 1998 she helped to write the textbook “Juryman Handbook,” where she wrote the third chapter “Ethics and behavior of the juror”. • In 1998 she took part in the project “Domestic Violence”, organized by the Open Society Foundation in Budapest, Hungary. • In 1998 she was appointed judge at the District Court of Varna and she has occupied this position until her appointment as a Chairperson of the State Commission on Information Security. • In September 1996 she became a Vice Chairperson of the Regional Court of Varna. • From April until November 1992 she was an assistant judge at the District Court of Varna, after that until 1996 she was a regional judge at the Regional Court of Varna.
Education and qualification:
• From May to August 2006 she specialized in the George C. Marshall European Center for Security Studies in Garmisch- Partenkirchen, Germany, in a program in the field of security for high government officials. • Between 2003 - 2005 she graduated the Academy of the Ministry of Interior with a Master’s degree in National Security Protection. • In March, 2000 she specialized in the School for Magistrates in Paris, France (“European Convention for Human Rights”). • In 1994, Tsveta Markova specialized in Rome, Italy, where she completed a practical course in legal development. • In 1990 she graduated from the Faculty of Law of "St. Kliment Ohridsky University," Sofia, acquiring Master’s degree. • She completed her secondary education at "Frederick Jolio Curie" Fourth French Language School.

She has published the following articles in the monthly digest “Market and Law” of “Labour and Law” publishing house: • “Ceasing and bankruptcy procedure-hypotheses” (vol.11/2002); • “Court competence in convocation of general meetings of company members under the law on NGO”(vol. 5/2002); • “Practical problems of organizing general meetings of creditors” (vol.1/2002).
