Iliya Angelov Ganev
Iliya Angelov Ganev was born on 2 September 1959 in the town of Plovdiv.
In 1986 he graduated in Technology and Mechanization of Forestry at the University of Forestry in Sofia with a master degree.
He completed two in-training courses at the Academy of the Ministry of Interior, Faculty of Fire Safety (1986-1987) and the Institute of Public Administration and European Integration (2006).
He started his career in 1984 as forester in the State Forestry “Beglika”, municipality of Batak, where he stayed until 1986.
During the period 1986-2003 he took the position of the Head of the Regional Department for Fire and Accident Safety in the towns of Peshtera and Batak, which is the Regional Police Department of the Ministry of Interior in town of Pazardzhik.
In 2004 he started working at the State Commission on Information Security as Senior Expert in the Directorate “Classified Information Protection”.
By the Resolution N 690 of the Council of Ministers from 25 October 2007 he was appointed as a member of the State Commission on Information Security.
He has language competence in Russian and French.
