Working meeting between Mrs. Tsveta Markova, Chairperson of the State Commission on Information Security and Mr. Tsuneharu Takeda, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan
On 10 December 2008 in Sofia, Mrs. Tsveta Markova, Chairperson of the State Commission on Information Security had a meeting with Mr. Tsuhenaru Takeda, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan.
During the meeting the activities of the State Commission on Information Security were presented. The possibilities for the signing of a bilateral agreement between the Republic of Bulgaria and Japan on the protection of classified information were discussed. Mr. Takeda expressed willingness for cooperation in different fields of public life but explained that in Japan there is no practice for signing agreements of such type. He emphasized that the absence of such an agreement will not be in any way an obstacle for the development of the good relations between the two states.
On her behalf Mrs. Markova also confirmed her readiness for cooperation and expressed her gratitude for the manifested consideration.
The meeting took place at the SCIS’ headquarters and was conducted in a friendly atmosphere.
