Signing of Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Bulgaria and the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina on mutual protection and exchange of classified information

Today, 18 March 2011 in Sarajevo a ceremony on the signing of Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Bulgaria and the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina on mutual protection and exchange of classified information was held. On behalf of the Republic of Bulgaria the Agreement was signed by Mrs. Tsveta Markova – Chairperson of the State Commission on Information Security and on behalf of the Bosnia and Herzegovina – by Mr. Mate Miletic, Head of the National Security Authority of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Mr. Andrey Transki – Ambassador of the Republic of Bulgaria to Bosnia and Herzegovina – attended the official signing ceremony.

The Agreement is a result of consultations with representatives of Bosnia and Herzegovina which were held in June 2010 in Sofia. It regulates the protection of classified information which will be exchanged with regard to the cooperation between the countries in all the fields of public life.

The Agreement was signed in the building of the Parliament of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
