Working meeting between the Chairperson of the State Commission on Information Security Mr. Boris Dimitrov and Mr. Ricardo Gerra de Araujo Charge d’affaires of the Embassy of the Federative Republic of Brazil to the Republic of Bulgaria
Today, November 18th 2015 the Chairperson of the State Commission on Information Security Mr. Boris Dimitrov had a working meeting with Mr. Ricardo Gerra de Araujo Minister-Counselor, Charge d’affaires of the Embassy of the Federative Republic of Brazil to the Republic of Bulgaria.
The main purpose of the meeting was the acceleration of the preparation of Draft Bilateral Agreement on exchange and mutual protection of classified information between the Republic of Bulgaria and the Federative Republic of Brazil.
During the meeting Mr. Dimitrov confirmed the readiness of Bulgarian side the future negotiations to be based on the Draft Agreement submitted by Brazilian partners. The latter was sent via diplomatic means in response to the Draft Agreement proposed on behalf of SCIS.
Mr. Araujo expressed the willingness of Brazil for development of the relations in the field of the protection of classified information and he emphasized that there was certain delay due to structural changes in the competent national authority, which were carried out after the elections in 2014.
On Bulgarian side commitment was taken for preparing a position which to be submitted via diplomatic means. Mr. Dimitrov expressed the readiness of SCIS to host direct negotiations between the two Parties where the draft would be discussed text by text aiming at taking into account the requirements of both countries.
Mr. Araujo also expressed readiness for full cooperation in order contacts between SCIS and Brazilian partners to be established.
Both participants expressed their satisfaction with the meeting and stressed on their conviction in the continuation of the traditionally good relations between the Republic of Bulgaria and the Federative Republic of Brazil.
The meeting was held in SCIS Headquarters and was carried out in working environment.
