A WORKING MEETING BETWEEN THE CHAIRPERSON OF SCIS AND REPRESENTATIVES FROM THE FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF GERMANY
During 18-19th May 2010 the State Commission on Information Security hosted a bilateral working meeting with the representatives from the Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Federal Ministry of Defense, Federal Ministry of Economics and Technologies and National Security Authority of the Federal Republic of Germany. The topic of the meeting was discussion on opportunities to update the valid agreement between the government of the Republic of Bulgaria and the government of the Federal Republic of Germany on mutual secret information protection. Necessity is due to the fact that the valid agreement had been contracted before the Classified Information Protection Act and Regulatory Framework entered into force and respectively the content of the agreement had digressions from the terms and rules for Classified Information Protection introduced by the CIPA.
The opportunities related to the ways of updating the valid agreement were also discussed – by correction or by withdrawal and contracting a new one.
On behalf of the Republic of Bulgaria in the meeting took part representatives from SCIS and National Agency “National Security”.
Working sessions were held in an atmosphere of dialogue and good collaboration.
The meeting was held in Sofia at the headquarters of the State Commission on Information Security.
