Working meeting between the Chairperson of the State Commission on Information Security Mrs. Tsveta Markova and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of India H.E. Mr. Divyabh Manchanda
On 26 February 2010 in Sofia the Chairperson of the State Commission on Information Security Mrs. Tsveta Markova carried out a working meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of India to the Republic of Bulgaria H.E. Mr. Divyabh Manchanda.
During the meeting the activities of the State Commission on Information Security as National Security Authority of the Republic of Bulgaria were presented. The draft Agreement for protection and exchange of classified information, submitted to the Republic of India via diplomatic way was also discussed.
The important role of such type of Agreements was stressed as they establish the legal framework for exchange and mutual protection of classified information necessary in the cooperation process in different areas of public life, including the field of information technologies where the Republic of India has a leading role.
Mr. Manchanda expressed the interest of the Republic of India and engaged himself to provide information on the development of its national procedure on the Agreement as soon as possible.
Both parties confirmed their readiness for cooperation.
The meeting was carried out at the building of the SCIS and was conducted in a working atmosphere.
