The State Commission on Information Secuirty held training on theme: “Protection of classified information – official secret”

On 1 and 2 March 2012 in the Training center of the State Commission on Information Security in the town of Bankya training on theme: “Protection of classified information – official secret” was held.
Representatives of the State Agency for National Security and Program Access to Information Foundation were invited as guest speakers.

The training was opened by the Chairperson of SCIS Tsveta Markova, the executive director of Program Access to Information Foundation  Gergana Zhuleva and Deyan Delev – officer in Classified Information
Sepcialized Directorate of the State Agency for National Security.

In the presentations the conditions and the order for originating of classified information “official secret” were clarified. The classified information “official secret” was discussed also in the context of the direct control under CIPA. The speakers paid attention also to the problematic fields in the implementation of the Access to Public Information Act by the central administration. The judicial practice was discussed in details regarding to the refusal of access to public information on the grounds that the requested information is classified. Reference about the classified information “official secret” in the information funds of SCIS was also presented. 

The training passed with the active participations of the trainees. Number of practical issues were discussed.
