Internal Security Directorate
The Internal Security Directorate has a duty to:
- Apply the rules concerning the types of protection of the classified information by SCIS and its administration;
- Look for the correct determination of the classification level by SCIS and its administration;
- Implement periodical verifications of the accountability and movement of the materials and documents;
- Develop an Action plan in case of unauthorized access to classified information in SCIS;
- Develop a Plan for protection of the classified information in case of war, military or other extraordinary situation;
- Account the cases of unauthorized access to classified information and measures undertaken, about which keeps informed the SCIS Chairperson immediately;
- Conduct ordinary vetting by mean of CIPA of the persons from the SCIS administration;
- Organize and carry out the training of the administrative employees of SCIS in the field of classified information protection;
- Organize and control the protection activities, checkpoints, transport and courier activity of SCIS and its administration;
- Develop a Plan for protection of SCIS premises by physical and technical means and looks for its performance;
- Interact with the Security services and Public order services in ensuring SCIS initiatives;
- Exploit and is responsible for the protection of the information and communication resources of the automated information systems or networks in SCIS and is in charge for their future development;
- Be responsible for the creation, maintenance and storage of the automated information systems in SCIS;
- Ensure the defensive and mobilization training.
The Internal Security Directorate should be managed by the Information security officer by mean of the CIPA and assists him/her in execution of his/her law-regulated functions.
The Internal Security Directorate consists of 14 people and is headed by Mr.Dimitar Gutsalski.
