Training on the protection of classified and foreign classified information
The membership of the Republic of Bulgaria in NATO and European Union sets high requirements to the overall training process for fulfillment of the minimum standards, set in NATO directives and EU regulations, related to the protection of classified information. In this connection the training in the field of the protection of national and NATO and EU classified information requires maintaining high level of theoretical knowledge and practical skills for handling such information which turns into task of priority in the activities of SCIS.
The SCIS performs all the activities on the organization for conducting the overall training process, which are included in the following main directions:
• Methodological guidance regarding to the organizations to which the SCIS tasks the training in the field of the protection of classified information;
• Control and assistance to the training organizations;
• Training conducted by the SCIS with an accent put on the current and functional training and training in the field of handling foreign classified information;
• Issuing of certificates for completed initial training of the security information;
• Media coverage of the training process on the protection of classified information.
The SCIS develops the training programs, prepares the material training base, the lecture fund and prepares other documents, related to the training by the confirmed training organizations.
The SCIS has concentrated its activity regarding to the training in the field of the protection of classified information to the following directions:
- Initial and current training of the security officers
- Initial training of Heads of Registries for classified information
- Training on the protection of EU and NATO classified information
In compliance with the CIPA, the RICIPA and its Mandatory Instructions the SCIS conducts training by tearing away the individuals form their direct official obligations and includes group training.
For enhancing the methodological and practical direction of the training process and the exchange of positive experience, the SCIS provides lecturers during workshops and trainings, organized by the central state authorities, the municipal government and the municipal administration, by the judicial system of the Republic of Bulgaria and etc.
