IN THE TRAINING CENTRE IN BANKYA SCIS HELD OUT A WORKSHOP ON “INFORMATION AND INTELLIGENCE”
Posted on 05 Jun 2012 13:46:00On 01 June in the Training center of the State Commission on Information Security in Bankya a workshop on “Information and Intelligence” was held for the members of the Commission and management personnel of its administration. The workshop’s visiting lecturer and speaker was Mr. David Wolstenholme – an employee of the British National Criminal Intelligence Service and Police with a long career and rich experience as an advisor in European Union member-states and other countries. He was assisted by Mr. Lachezar Elenkov – deputy-chairman of the Police Chiefs Association.
Employees on management and leading expert positions of the Ministry of Interior, the State Agency for National Security, the National Intelligence Service and Defense Information Service took part in the workshop.
Mrs. Tsveta Markova opened the workshop introducing Mr. David Wolstenholme.
The workshop participants expressed emphasized interest in the workshop speaker’s presentation and the main issues of work with classified and unclassified information he addressed. A number of practical issues related to protection and handling of classified information were discussed.
According to the participants, the workshop contributed to their awareness of good practices and foreign experience and was of great benefit to their work.
