Documentary Security

Documentary security is a system of measures, means and ways of protection of classified information during the origination, handling and storage of documents, as well as within the organization and the activities of the registries for classified information (Article 80, Paragraph 1 of CIPA). The specific framework of the measures, means and ways for protection which form the system of documentary security are stipulated in Chapter V of the Regulation on the Implementation of the Classified Information Protection Act (RICIPA).

For the fulfillment of the relevant requirements in the field of documentary security the following documents are prepared:

  • Dispatching letter for sending materials and documents with classified contents
  • List of originated materials and documents containing classified information state or official secret in accordance with Article 35 of CIPA
  • Protocol for the review of first or only copies (originals) of documents and materials containing classified information with the purpose of prolonging their term of protection;
  • Protocol for the review of first or only copies (originals) of documents and materials containing classified information with the purpose of changing their security classification levels
  • Proposal to SCIS for destroying first or only copies (originals) of materials and documents, carrying classified information with expired protection date and removed security classification level on the grounds of Article 50, Paragraph 5, p. 1 and p. 2 of RICIPA;
  • Protocol for the review of first or only copies (originals) of documents and materials containing classified information with the purpose of removing their security classification levels Article 50; Paragraph 5, p.3 of RICIPA.
  • Proposal to SCIS for destroying of first and only copies (originals) of materials and documents, carrying classified information, with removed class security classification level.
  • Protocol for destroying first or only copies (originals) of materials and documents, containing classified information, drawn up after the destruction was done on the grounds of authorization given by SCIS;
  • Proposal for destroying second and subsequent copies of materials and documents containing classified information and other materials and documents containing classified information;
  • Protocol for destroying second and subsequent copies of materials and documents containing classified information and other materials and documents containing classified information
  • Protocol for destroying documents of completed vetting procedures
