Bilateral Agreement between the government of the Republic of Bulgaria and the government of the Republic of Moldova

On 14 February 2008 in Chisinau, Moldova is going to be signed an Agreement between the government of the Republic of Bulgaria and the government of the Republic of Moldova on mutual protection and exchange of classified information. Signing is going to be held during the visit of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Bulgaria in Moldova.

Achieving to sign the agreement was a result of direct negotiations between Bulgarian and Moldovan experts held in Sofia in February 2006. In negotiations Bulgarian participants took part representing the State Commission on Information Security, the National Security Service, the “Security – Military Policy and Military Counter Intelligence” Service.
The Agreement establishes regulatory framework of co-operation in the field of classified information protection between both countries and forms conditions for effectively collaboration between them in different areas of social life, which impose exchange of classified information.

On behalf of the government of the Republic of Bulgaria the Agreement will be signed by Mrs. Tsveta Markova, the Chairperson of the State Commission on Information Security.
