Signing of Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Bulgaria and the Government of the Republic of Armenia on mutual protection and exchange of classified information

Today, 12th February 2018 in Yerevan, Republic of Armenia the Chairperson of the State Commission on Information Security an Agreement   on mutual protection and exchange of classified information was signed.

On Bulgarian side the Agreement was signed by Mr. Boris Dimitrov, Chairperson of the State Commission on Information Security and on the side of Republic of Armenia – by Mr. Edward Nalbandyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia.

The Agreement regulates the protection of the classified information which will be exchanged with regard to the cooperation between the countries in different fields of social life. It contains definitions of the main concepts used in the text, the respective security classification levels are also set as well as the ways of exchange. Provisions are included concerning the regime for concluding classified contracts, the procedures for international visits, as well as provisions for the rules for actions in case of breach of security.

The signing ceremony was carried out in the frames of the State Visit of the President of the Republic of Bulgaria Mr. Rumen Radev to the Republic of Armenia in the period 12th – 13th February 2018.
