Signing of Agreement with the Republic of Serbia on the exchange and mutual protection of the classified information in the field of defence

Today, 14 April 2009, in Belgrade, Serbia an Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Bulgaria and the Government of the Republic of Serbia on the exchange and mutual protection of the classified information in the field of defence was signed.

On behalf of the Government of the Republic of Bulgaria the Agreement was signed by Mrs. Tsveta Markova- Chairperson of the State Commission on Information Security and on behalf of the Republic of Serbia the Agreement was signed by Mr. Dushan Spasoyevich- State Secretary in the Ministry of Defence.

With its entry into force the Agreement will establish the legal framework of the cooperation between the two states related to the exchange of classified information in the field of defence and it will create conditions for deepening of the relations between them in different fields of public life.
