Agreement on mutual protection and exchange of classified information was signed between the Republic of Bulgaria and the Republic of Albania

On February 27, 2008 at the State Commission on Information Security was signed an Agreement between the government of the Republic of Bulgaria and the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Albania on mutual protection and exchange of classified information.
On behalf of the Republic of Bulgaria the Agreement was signed by Mrs. Tsveta Markova – the Chairperson of the State Commission on Information Security. On behalf of the Republic of Albania the document was signed by Mr. Shyqyri Dekavelli, the Director of the National Security Authority on Information of the Republic of Albania.
The Agreement between Republic of Bulgaria and the Republic of Albania on mutual protection and exchange on classified information demonstrated the serial stage in the development of international regulatory framework on classified information protection. The priority of the SCIS activity was contracting of Bilateral Agreements between countries, which active political and economic contacts Republic of Bulgaria held with.
The singed Agreement established regulatory base on handling the classified information between both countries, as necessary for the national state authorities as well for the realization of serial projects of private investments and initiatives.
