Checks of the registries for EU classified information and assessment of the measures for its protection

In fulfillment of its functions with regard to organization, coordination and control over the activities on the protection of EU classified information, on the grounds of Article 9, Section 5 and 6 of the Classified Information Protection Act and Section VII of Annex III to Decision 2013/488/EU of the Council of European Union SCIS has begun the periodic checks in all registries for EU classified information in the Organizational Entities in the Republic of Bulgaria.

The purpose of the checks is to determine the compliance of the implemented measures with the minimum standards set for the security of EU classified information.

In the period between June 7th and June 30th 2016 committees formed by experts from SCIS have checked the registries for EU classified information in the National Assembly, the Council of Ministers, the Administration of the President, the Navy, the Land Forces, Kozloduy NPP and the Commission for Personal Data Protection.
