Working meeting between the Chairperson of the State Commission on Information Security Mrs. Tsveta Markova and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Finland to the Republic of Bulgaria Her Excellence Mrs. Tarja Laitiainen

On 29 December 2009 in Sofia the Chairperson of the State Commission on Information Security Mrs. Tsveta Markova had a working meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Finland to the Republic of Bulgaria Her Excellence Mrs. Tarja Laitiainen.

During the meeting the activities of the State Commission on Information Security as National security authority of the Republic of Bulgaria were presented.

The possibilities for the extension of the implementation of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Bulgaria and the Government of the Republic of Finland on mutual protection and exchange of the classified information signed in 2008 were discussed.

The important role of such type of Agreements was stressed as they establish the legal framework for cooperation in different areas of public life that impose exchange of classified information.

Both parties confirmed their readiness for continuation of the established good cooperation.

The meeting took place at the building of the SCIS and was conducted in a working atmosphere.
