Working meeting between the Chairperson of the State Commission on Information Security Mrs. Tsveta Markova and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Israel H. E. Mr. Shaul Camisa Raz

On 6 June 2012 in Sofia the Chairperson of the State Commission on Information security Mrs. Tsveta Markova held a working meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Israel to the Republic of Bulgaria H.E. Mr Shaul Camisa Raz.

During the meeting Mrs. Markova presented the activities and the functions of the Commission in its capacity of National security authority of the Republic of Bulgaria.

She paid special attention to the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Bulgaria and the Government of the State of Israel/ The Ministry of Defence of Israel on protection of classified information, which was signed on 27 November 2008 in Sofia, as it sets the legal framework for cooperation in different areas of the public life that require exchange of classified information.

Mrs. Markova also presented the Training center of the SCIS in the town of Bankya and the opportunity of mutual workshops on cyber security and other subjects to be held there, for further development of the cooperation between the two countries, was dicussed.

On his behalf H.E. Mr. Shaul Camisa Raz thanked for the provided opportunity to be introduced to the activities of the SCIS and declared his readiness for cooperation.

He also presented his congratulations on the occasion of the 10th Anniversary of the SCIS.

The meeting was held in the headquarters of the SCIS and was carried out in working environment.
