Working meeting between the Chairperson of the State Commission on Information Security Mrs. Tsveta Markova and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kosovo H. E. Mrs. Ariana Zherka Hodzha
Posted on 17 Nov 2011 16:53:00On 17 November 2011 in Sofia Chairperson of the State Commission on Information Security Mrs. Tsveta Markova held a working meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kosovo H. E. Mrs. Ariana Zherka Hodzha.
During the meeting Mrs. Markova presented the activities of the State Commission on Information Security in its capacity of National Security Authority of the Republic of Bulgaria.
She paid special attention to the international activities of the SCIS and especially on the signing of agreements on mutual protection and exchange of classified information by emphasizing the important role of such agreements as they set the legal framework in different fields of public life that require exchange of classified information.
In this regard Mrs. Markova presented to Her Excellence Mrs. Hodzha Draft Agreement on mutual protection and exchange of classified information.
On her behalf Mrs. Hodzha thanked for the invitation and for the provided opportunity to be closely introduced to the activities of SCIS.
She confirmed the interest of Kosovo to the signing of Agreement on mutual protection and exchange of classified information with the Republic of Bulgaria but clarified that the adoption of law in the field of the protection of classified information by the Parliament of Kosovo is still pending.
Both parties confirmed their readiness for co-operation.
The meeting was held in the headquarters of SCIS and was held in working environment.
