Round table in the Parliament on the “Protection of classified information in the judicial proceedings”
Posted on 29 Feb 2012 14:58:00On 28 February 2012 in the East Hall of the Parliament of the Republic of Bulgaria with the co-operation and the hosting of the Deputy Chair and Chair of the Internal Security and Public Order Committee Anastas Anastasov round table on the “Protection of classified information in the judicial proceedings” was held. Initiator of the discussion and co-organizer was the State Commission on Information Security.
Subject of discussion were the issues on the protection of classified information in the judicial process in light of the principle for publicity of the case decisions. In the round table participated Vesselin Vuchkov – Deputy Minister of Interior, Denitsa Valkova – Deputy-Minister of Justice, Rumen Milanov – director of the Centre for prevention and counteraction to corruption and organized crime, Ivan Drashkov – Deputy Chairperson of the State Agency for National Security, Daniela Rossenova – Chairperson of the Specialized Court for Appellation, Borislav Sarafov – Administrative Head of Specialized Prosecutor’s Office for Appellation, Petko Petkov – Deputy Director of the National Investigation Service, Professor Margarita Chinova of the University of Sofia “St’ Kliment Ohridski”, representatives of the Supreme Judicial Council, representatives of non-governmental organizations, judges and prosecutors. On behalf of SCIS the Chairperson of State Commission on Information Security Tsveta Markova, the Deputy-Chairperson and the Members of SCIS, experts of the Legal and International Legal Affairs Directorate and of the Classified Information Protection Directorate participated.
