Working meeting between the Chairperson of the State Commission on Information Security Mrs. Tsveta Markova and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Macedonia to the Republic of Bulgaria H. E. Mr. Blagoy Handzhiski
Posted on 28 Feb 2011 12:27:00On 28 February 2011 in Sofia the Chairperson of the State Commission on Information Security Mrs. Tsveta Markova had a working meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Macedonia to the Republic of Bulgaria H. E. Mr. Blagoy Handzhiski.
During the meeting the activities of the State Commission on Information Security in its capacity of National Security Authority of the Republic of Bulgaria were presented.
On his behalf His Excellency Mr. Handzhiski thanked for the invitation and emphasized that he is acquainted with the good organization of the activities of the Commission. He also pointed out the cooperation between the National Security Authorities of the two states is very important, as the experience of the State Commission on Information Security is of great benefit for the National Security Authority of the Republic of Macedonia.
Mrs. Markova clarified that during this year there will be a concrete occasion for exchange of experience because in May a Regional Conference of the National Security Authorities of the states from South-Eastern Europe is forthcoming which is organized jointly by the State Commission on Information Security and the Regional Cooperation Council. This would be the first meeting of this kind where each state has the opportunity to say what challenges and problems it has faced.
Mrs. Markova also explained that representatives of NATO and EU are to be invited to the Conference.
His Excellency Mr. Handzhiski expressed his approval of the initiative, as well as his readiness for assistance. He said that the Republic of Bulgaria sets an example in the region as a state that can organize international events on a high level.
Both sides expressed their readiness for cooperation.
The meeting was carried out at the premises of the SCIS and was conducted in working environment.
