The State Commission on Information Security held a working meeting with the mobile operators, Internet providers, State Agency “National Security”, the Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Bulgaria and the Specialized Directorate “Technical Operations” – Ministry of Interior
Posted on 18 Jun 2010 15:59:10On 16 June 2010 a working meeting was held between the State Commission on Information Security with representatives of the mobile operators, Internet providers, State Agency “National Security”, the Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Bulgaria and the Specialized Directorate “Technical Operations” – Ministry of Interior. Carrying out such a meeting was imposed with regard to the amendments in the Electronic Communications Act and the obligations originating from them and from the Special Intelligence Means Act.
During the conversations issues were discussed related to the practical implementation of the requirements for release of information for the needs of discovering and investigating severe crimes according to Chapter Nine “a” of the Penal Code, pursuant the provisions of the Electronic Communications Act and the Classified Information Protection Act.
The meeting which continued more than an hour remained opened for future initiatives for discussions with regard to the questions that were raised.
