Participation of representatives of SCIS in an Annual meeting of the Multinational Industrial Security Working Group

In the period between 17th September 2013 and 20th September 2013 in Vienna, Austria the 28th international meeting of the Multinational Industrial Security Working Group (MISWG) was held. In the meeting attended 31 MISWG Member-Countries as well as a representative of the European Defense Agency. For the first time in the capacity of observer a representative of the Republic of Macedonia attended the meeting.

The Republic of Bulgaria was represented by the Chairperson of SCIS Mr. Boris Dimitrov and by Mrs. Hristina Pramatarska – Expert in the Legal and International Legal Affairs Directorate.

During the conference current issues in the field of industrial security which are of common interest for the member-countries – issues in connection with international visits, cyber security and the security of the critical IT infrastructures – were discussed. Different documents were discussed and adopted – requests for international visits, facility security clearance information sheet, personnel security clearance information sheet, cyber security incidents report and etc.

Several MISWG Member-Countries presented a summary of their national reports as Security Authorities. The reports of the ad hoc working groups were also reviewed.

The meeting concluded with official turning over of the flag and the bell of the Multinational Industrial Security Working Group to the next MISWG host in 2014 – Romania.
