Negotiations with Sweden

In the period 17-19 April 2007 Bulgarian and Swedish experts met in Sofia for the first round of negotiations on the Draft Agreement between the Government of Republic of Bulgaria and the Government of the Kingdom of Sweden on Mutual Protection and Exchange of Classified Information.

The Bulgarian delegation included representatives of the State Commission on Information Security, National Security Service and Service “Military Police and Military Counterintelligence. The Swedish delegation was comprised of representatives of Swedish NSA and DSA.

The second round of negotiations and the start of the national procedures of both countries for approval of the text and authorization for signing the Agreement is forthcoming.
