Negotiations with Finland

In the period 25-27 September 2007 Bulgarian and Finnish experts met in Sofia for the first round of negotiations on the Draft Agreement between the Government of Republic of Bulgaria and the Government of the Republic of Finland on Mutual Protection and Exchange of Classified Information.

The Bulgarian delegation included representatives of the State Commission on Information Security, National Security Service and Service “Military Police and Military Counterintelligence. The Finnish delegation was comprised of representatives of Finnish National security Authority and other competent authorities.

The second round of negotiations and the start of the national procedures of both countries for approval of the text and authorization for signing the Agreement is forthcoming.
