A working meeting between the State Commission on Information Security and representatives of the “Security” Directorate of the European Commission

Posted on 23 May 2008 16:37:06 In the period 21-22 May representatives of the European Commission –Mr. Eduardo Cano Romero and Mr. Alfonso Ballesteros-Martinez were on a working visit in the Republic of Bulgaria. The aim of the visit was the development and the deepening of the cooperation and interaction between the State Commission on Information Security and the “Security” Directorate of the European Commission.

The visit contributed to the introduction with the functions, tasks and the immediate administrative activities of both authorities. During the discussions issues on the protection of EU classified information were considered. The main accent of the meeting was put on the principles and the procedures in the fields of personnel and industrial security.

During their visit the guests had a meeting at the State Agency “National Security” where issues in the field of security of information were also discussed.
