The State Commission on Information Security held a thematic training of journalists accredited to present its activities

On 21 and 22 December 2011 in the Training center of the State Commission on Information Security a training course of journalists accredited to present the activities of the Commission on ‘National security authorities of EU and NATO member states was held. The training was opened by the Chairperson of SCIS Mrs. Tsveta Markova who actively participated in it. 

Journalists of Bulgarian Telegraph Agency, BGNES Agency, TV 7 television, the newspapers Standard, Bulgarian Army, Telegraph and others participated in the training. 
The aim of the training course was to introduce the participants to the newest and most current issues in the field of the protection of classified information in the light of Lisbon Treaty and to the main aspects of the Decision of the Council of EU dated 31 March 2011. The attention of the participants was also drawn to important moments of the essence, history and future of NATO. A comparative legal analysis of the practices of National security authorities of EU Member states prepared by the National security authority of Poland was presented.
Presentation on the specific features of expertise under the Classified Information Protection Act entrusted on penal cases was made.  

The Chairperson of the SCIS and experts of the Commission put the accent on practical issues related to the themes that were presented. They answered the questions of the audience in details and with competence. Mrs. Tsveta Markova awarded the participants with certificates for successfully completed thematic training.
