International conference on: ‘Various aspects of protecting classified information’ in the period 28-30 November 2011 in Warsaw, Poland
Posted on 30 Nov 2011 09:56:00The Chairperson of the State Commission on Information Security (SCIS) Mrs. Tsveta Markova participated in conference on: ‘Various aspects of protecting classified information’ held in the period 28-30 November in Warsaw, Poland. The Conference is a continuation of meetings between National security authorities conducted by EU Member States during their Presidency of the Union.
The Conference was organized by the initiative of the National security authority of Poland in the frames of the Polish Presidency of the Council of European Union. The conference was in the format of EU Security Committee – the Heads of National security authorities and experts in this field. Representatives of National security authorities of nineteen Member states, representatives of the Council of European Union, of European Defence Agency, of European Satellite Centre, of European Agency for network and information security and of EUROJUST participated.
The Conference was held in two days and was distributed in three panels – Summary of the acquired information from the National security authorities of the Member states regarding the measures implemented for the protection of classified information, Summary regarding the vetting procedures for issuance of security clearances and cyber protection and defence.
