Working meeting between the Chairperson of the State Commission on Information Security Mrs. Tsveta Markova and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Portuguese Republic to the Republic of Bulgaria H. E. Mrs. Vera Maria Fernandes

On 27 April 2011 in Sofia the Chairperson of the State Commission on Information Security Mrs. Tsveta Markova held a working meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Portuguese Republic to the Republic of Bulgaria H. E. Mrs. Vera Maria Fernandes.

During the meeting Mrs. Markova presented the activity of the State Commission on Information Security in its capacity of National Security Authority of the Republic of Bulgaria.

She provided to Her Excellence Mrs. Fernandes a copy of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Bulgaria and the Government of the Portuguese Republic on mutual protection of classified information, signed on 14 December 2007 in Sofia.

Mrs. Markova emphasized on the importance of such types of agreements as they set the legal framework necessary for the cooperation in different fields of public life that impose exchange of such information.

On her behalf Her Excellence Mrs. Fernandes thanked for the invitation and for the provided information. She confirmed her readiness for cooperation and expressed willingness for future meetings with the aim of establishing closer contacts.

Mrs. Markova also confirmed her readiness for cooperation and thanked for the manifested attention.

The meeting was conducted at the premises of the SCIS and was carried out in working environment.
