Participation of SCIS representatives on an online meeting of the National Security Authorities of the South Eastern states, Regional Cooperation Council members (SEENSA)

On 6th of April 2020 in the framework of SEENSA, an online meeting of the National Security Authorities of the South Eastern states, Regional Cooperation Council members were held. On of side of SCIS participated the Vice-Chairman of the Commission Ivan Pavlov and representatives of the “Legal and International Legal Affairs” directorate.

The participants discussed the development of SEENSA activities in the context of the coronavirus pandemic and the necessary changes needed in the cooperation format. Taking into account the current situation, a decision was made that all SEENSA meetings and initiatives, which require live contact, will be suspended. The SEENSA cooperation will be implemented through online meetings and discussion, including topics of mutual interest and discussions on projects of documents through email exchange. Following their well established cooperation, the participants affirmed that the 10th SEENSA “Directors” meeting, hosted by the NSA of the Republic of Bulgaria, will be successful regardless of the period on which it will be held.
