Participation of the State Commission on Information Security in training on the classified information protection of governing officials of the Council of Ministers

On 27 and 28 November 2009, a workshop was conducted on the training of the political office and the directors of directorates at the Council of Ministers on classified information protection. The workshop was organized in compliance with the requirements of the Classified Information Protection Act, the Regulation on the Implementation of the Classified Information Protection Act and NATO and EU directives and regulations in the field of classified information protection.

The Chairperson of the SCIS Tsveta Markova, the Deputy Chairperson of the Commission Zahari Zahariev, the director of the “Internal Security” Directorate Dimitar Gutsalski and experts of the specialized administration of the SCIS participated at the training.

The program of the workshop included issues related to the organization and the coordination when handling classified information and NATO and EU classified information and to the penal, administrative-penal and administrative responsibility in the case of breach of the security of classified information. The participants were informed on the engagements coming from treaties and agreements signed by our state regarding to the protection of the classified information and the order for conducting check-ups and inspections by the controlling bodies of NATO and EU.
