Working meeting for the discussion of the legal term ‘official secret’
Posted on 07 Apr 2011 11:49:00On 6 April 2011 at 15 o’clock in the headquarters of the State Commission on Information Security (SCIS) on 90 Cherkovna Str., a working meeting for discussing the legal term ‘official secret’ was held.
The reason for the meeting was the initiative of the SCIS that started in 2010 jointly with the Access to Information Foundation, on the collecting of information from all the municipalities and district administrations regarding to the lists for ‘Official secret’ drawn up in accordance with Art. 26, paragraph 3 of the Classified Information Protection Act (CIPA). An objective of priority that has to be fulfilled by the SCIS is achieving of unification of these lists for the municipalities and the district administrations, with a view of putting clear distinction between official secret according to the CIPA, official public information in compliance with the Access to Public Information Act, professional secret, and commercial secret and personal data.
