Working meeting between representatives of SCIS and representatives of the ministries, the security services and the public order services on current issues regarding the protection of classified information

On 27th February 2013 in the Headquarters of the State Commission on Information Security (SCIS) working meeting with the participation of representatives of the ministries, the security services and the public order services was held. The subjects of the discussions were as follows:

1. Necessity and legal grounds for the classification of cover letters to the Vetting files for reliability and other exchanged classified documents;
2. Order for the destruction of the Vetting files for reliability.

The participants expressed opinions on the implementation of the provisions of Article 155, Article 156 and Article 157 of the Regulation on the Implementation of the Classified Information Protection Act (RICIPA) regarding the destruction of the different types of vetting files. Concerning the issue of cover letters the attendees gave concrete examples for the way those letters are registered in their organizational entities and the difficulties they face in the handling of such documents.

The meeting was carried out in working environment as decision was taken that in March would be organized next working meeting for discussing other issues on the implementation of the regulatory framework in the field of protection of classified information.
