Working meeting between the Chairperson of SCIS and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Turkey to the Republic of Bulgaria H. E. Mr. Ismail Aramaz
Posted on 30 Jun 2011 09:13:00On 29 June 2011 in the headquarters of the State Commission on Information Security (SCIS) a working meeting between Mrs. Tsveta Markova - Chairperson of SCIS and H. E. Mr. Ismail Aramaz – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Turkey to the Republic of Bulgaria was held.
The reason for the meeting was discussing the possibilities for the signing of bilateral agreement on the protection and exchange of classified information. Mrs. Markova stressed on the importance of the signing of such agreements as they set the legal framework regarding to such information which is necessary in the cooperation process in different fields of public life. During the meeting the activity of the State Commission on Information Security in its capacity of National security authority was also presented.
Ambassador Aramaz confirmed the interest of the Turkish side for signing an agreement but explained that in the Republic of Turkey there is no authority similar to the SCIS which is responsible for the classified information. He emphasized that each ministry is responsible for the protection of classified information in its field. H. E. Mr. Aramaz expressed readiness for opening of negotiations in the field of defence industry.
The meeting was carried out in working environment.
