Working meeting between the Chairperson of the State Commission on Information Security Mrs. Tsveta Markova and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam H. E. Mr. Tran Van Thinh

On 14 September 2011 in Sofia the Chairperson of the State Commission on Information Security Mrs. Tsveta Markova held a working meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam H. E. Mr. Tran Van Thinh.

The reason for the meeting was the forthcoming visit of a delegation on Vietnam to the Republic of Bulgaria in the period 27-29 September 2011 with regard to carrying out expert discussions on the signing of bilateral agreement on protection and exchange of classified information between the governments of the two states.

H. E. Mr. Thinh expressed his expectation that the expert discussions will be finished successfully, as well as his satisfaction by the positive development of the bilateral relations between the two states in the field of classified information. 

On her behalf Mrs. Markova stressed on the important role of such type of agreements as they set the legal framework for co-operation in different fields of public life which require access to such information.

She also confirmed the readiness of the SCIS with regard to the organization of the visit of the Vietnamese delegation. 

The meeting was carried at the Headquarters of the SCIS and was conducted in working atmosphere.
